Summer Camp Shaping Tomorrow's Leaders.

The Leaders In Training Program

We look forward to having you back with us this year. There have been a few changes made to the camp due to COVID-19. We will follow all provincial and federal guidelines during the summer to keep everyone safe. The camp will be significantly smaller this year, you will be required to bring your own snacks for morning and afternoon.

Our Leaders in Training (LIT) camp has been pivotal in raising new leaders for our camp, churches, schools and homes. LIT's are encouraged to ask questions, step out, lead among their peers all within the context of real community. Camp registration is by application and we take on no more than 3 students each session.

As a student of the LIT program you will spend the day working alongside one of the Counselors and will share the responsibilities of supervising one of the camper groups. You will assist with the day to day activities including creative and recreation time, in discussions focusing on topics on Christian leadership and ministry and in supervision both at the camp site and off on field trips. The aim will be to equip you to be able to lead games, chapel time and program planning.

All applicants must be 14 years or older (or going into grade nine is acceptable.) Must be able to commit to at least one complete session. Others will be considered but not given priority. See attached application for choices. A charge of $125 per session will be requested from those accepted into the program. Those registered will be asked to attend a training day in June.
